Founded by Karen Rzepecki, reCAP began with a single mason jar lid and a desire to reduce single-use plastic, growing into a full line of reusable lids designed to make homes more eco-friendly. The team is committed to practical solutions, environmental integrity, and helping households live more sustainably—one jar at a time.

The company’s flagship product, The Original reCAP, was born out of Karen’s need for a lid that could shake, pour, and store homemade salad dressings directly in a Mason jar. From this invention, reCAP expanded its offerings while keeping all production local, with the entire supply chain within a 100-mile radius of Erie, Pennsylvania. With a focus on reducing waste and promoting reuse, reCAP blends innovation, environmental responsibility, and community impact in every product.
