About Becoming a Vendor
Thank you for your interest in selling on our platform. Please take a moment to read the below text carefully before proceeding with your application.
Our Mission + Things to Note
We are a curated online marketplace that helps small businesses showcase their products. Because we’re highly selective, we’re unable to accept every application.
We care about how products are made—production methods, materials and overall quality. We will need this information from you. We don’t expect any supply chain to be perfect; our goal is simply to offer customers better, longer-lasting alternatives to mass-manufactured items.
We are not a sustainable shopping platform. Our focus is on supporting independent creators and small businesses.
We require high-quality product photography for use on our website. If your images don’t meet our standards, we won’t be able to move forward with your application.
Please review our About Us page and Vendor Terms of Service and general store Policies to make sure we’re a good fit.
By applying, you agree to provide truthful and accurate information about your business and products.
Our Services
At Aware House, we’re fully dedicated to supporting our vendors and helping your business grow. In return, we ask for your support in maintaining the standards that allow our community (and every vendor within it) to thrive.
What We Offer
The Marketplace
We offer a curated online marketplace that makes it easy for customers to discover your brand and shop your products.
This includes customer service, ongoing investment in website development, promotions and collection-building, vendor discovery and research, SEO and extensive marketing on Google and Meta platforms, and content creation (blogs, guides and video) that keeps our audience engaged.
Extensive Online Marketing
We actively market Aware House through channels like Instagram, Meta Ads, Google Ads and affiliate partnerships. We allocate significant budget and resources to grow brand visibility and increase qualified traffic month over month.
A Strong Vendor Community
You’ll be invited to our private Vendor Facebook Group, where you can connect with other makers, share insights, and access exclusive marketing opportunities (features, campaigns, press opportunities and seasonal placements).
Network & Growth Partnerships
We’ve built a strong network of 100+ vendors and partner businesses, especially across the U.S., plus a growing ecosystem of marketing relationships (Meta and Google Ads support, publishers, creators and affiliates) that helps expand reach beyond our owned channels.
Affiliate + Editorial Exposure
Through our affiliate marketing program, vendor products have earned placement in major publications, including features in outlets such as The New York Times Wirecutter and The New Yorker.
Financial Support
We support vendors financially by either purchasing inventory wholesale (when aligned) or facilitating sales directly through our platform. Our goal is to build sustained demand for your products and help grow your business over time.
Vendor Expectations
Communication
We ask that vendors remain accessible, responsive, and timely when it comes to business-related matters. During onboarding in particular, consistent communication helps everything move smoothly.
If communication becomes repeatedly inconsistent or delayed, we may need to reassess our ability to move forward together.
Social Media
We encourage vendors to stay active on social media—especially Instagram, which is one of our primary marketing channels.
We prioritize vendors who demonstrate their own commitment to growing their work and brand. In short: help us help you.
We also appreciate it when you share Aware House content (posts, features, promotions) to your Instagram Stories from time to time to help introduce the platform to your audience.
Willingness to Collaborate
Collaboration is a big part of what makes the Aware House community work. We regularly invite vendors to participate in collaborative posts on Instagram, interviews, Q&As, product highlights, and exclusive promotions.
Vendors who send content, answer questions, and accept collaboration invitations are showing the enthusiasm needed to grow their own brands—while helping the entire Aware House community grow alongside them.
Sharing Your Aware House Vendor Page
If you include links to third-party DTC sites (Etsy, Minted, your own site, etc.) on your website, Instagram bio, or email signature, we kindly ask that you also include a link to your Aware House vendor page in those same places.
If you don’t have a third-party DTC link, we still encourage you to share your Aware House vendor page with your audience if you’re comfortable.
The more traffic we drive to the marketplace—whether from your link or another vendor’s—the more exposure you’ll receive over time.
Inventory Turnover
We actively monitor inventory turnover. If a vendor is meeting the expectations above but has slower turnover, we will continue working together to improve performance and track progress.
However, if turnover is low and the vendor is not meeting core expectations (e.g., inconsistent communication, unwillingness to collaborate, minimal social activity, or not supporting the marketplace), we may need to reconsider the partnership.
We understand that many vendors are small teams or solo entrepreneurs, and life happens. That said, being an active, engaged member of the Aware House community is essential to mutual success.
According to the Nov. 2025 Bank of America small-business outlook, 74% of U.S. small and mid-sized business owners expect higher costs and tighter margins heading into 2026, putting additional pressure on independent retailers to survive and grow.
Your support directly impacts the livelihoods of the 100+ independent makers that we have the pleasure of working with.
