About Aware House
How We Began
Nowadays, accessing high quality products made by independent creators and artists is more difficult than it seems. Browsing through the likes of Etsy and Amazon can often be overwhelming, with millions of products of varying quality, and little information as to who the creators of these products actually are.
Enter, Aware House. An easy-to-navigate online platform where you can purchase your favorite artisanal, high quality goods in one place. With suppliers ranging from independent creators to small/medium scale businesses, we hope to bring awareness to those producing products with quality and purpose.

Our Mission
Our mission is to expand consumer access to high-quality household goods manufactured by small businesses & independent creators.
We look for Suppliers that are informative about their manufacturing and quality practices. We want to connect consumers with brands that let us know who they are and where and how each product is sourced and created.

Buy What You Know
To Buy What You Know is a fading concept. Before mass manufacturing, people bought locally—the milkman, the baker, the tailor. Most goods came from within the community, while imported items were rare luxuries.
Modern industrial and technological advances have made the world feel smaller, offering access to products and cultures far beyond our hometowns. Today, someone in rural Tennessee can order coffee from Colombia or clothes from Paris with a few clicks.
Yet in practice, many in the U.S. shop mostly from a flood of cheaply made, mass-produced items thanks to outsourcing and global supply chains. While convenience has its place, we’ve lost touch with the idea of supporting local makers and small businesses.
We often don’t know how products are made or who made them. This isn’t a call to boycott mass production, but a reminder to be more intentional with our purchases. Choosing even one locally made item can make a real impact in someone's life.
