SPF Note: This product does not carry an official SPF rating due to FDA regulations. However, 23% zinc oxide aligns with an estimated SPF 20–25 based on formulation research. Grass-fed tallow may offer additional natural protection (estimated SPF 4–6).

Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin 15 minutes before sun exposure. Blend gently until the tint is evenly distributed. Reapply as needed after water, sweat, or extended sun exposure.

Scoop a pea- to quarter-sized amount with clean, dry fingers.
Warm in your palm until soft.
Gently pat or massage into clean skin—face, body, or any dry areas.

Texture & Seasonal Adaptation
This small-batch, fresh suet, dry-rendered, and unwhipped tallow naturally responds to environmental conditions. These gentle shifts in texture are to be expected and are a sign of the purity and simplicity of the ingredients.

In warmer temperatures, the balm may soften. If exposed to extreme heat, refrigerate it to restore a firmer consistency. If it fully melts, leave the lid off and allow it to re-solidify in the refrigerator. In cooler temperatures, the balm may become firmer. To soften, place the jar in a warm water bath or bring it into the shower for a few minutes.

Storage Tips:
Store your tallow balm in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. While these balms are shelf-stable and don’t require refrigeration, keeping them out of extreme heat will maintain their texture and freshness.

Shelf Life & Freshness:
Summer Solace products are made in small batches weekly to ensure the highest quality. For the best experience, use your tallow products within nine months of purchase and ideally within 8–12 weeks of opening. Though tallow has an indefinite shelf life, using it while fresh allows you to fully enjoy its seasonal benefits.
