Gravesco's Mossy Forest signature handmade pottery mugs are the perfect addition to your kitchen table. The ergonomic pinched handle means they are effortless to hold, making them a great choice for those mornings when you need an extra dose of caffeine.

The unique glaze color, Mossy Forest, is a stunning combination of cocoa brown and matte cream with a magical mossy green where the colors overlap, reminiscent of a peaceful walk in the forest as the seasons change.

Because of the handmade nature of the mugs and the multi-layered glaze, each mug will have its own unique characteristics.

Manufacturing & Materials

Gravesco makes a conscious effort to purchase as many materials as possible from independently owned, small family businesses.

The stoneware clay used is regionally made either in Lexington, Kentucky or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Glaze materials are almost exclusively ordered from a local pottery supply house to minimize the need for shipping.

All glazes are mixed in-house using their own recipes, and never use lead. These details contribute to the a higher finished product quality and longevity.

Gravesco's nine electric kilns operate on 208 three phase industrial power which leads to more efficient firing without fossil fuels.
