Unlike soap-based cleansers that can strip the skin’s protective barrier, this balm gently dissolves impurities while moisturizing and supporting barrier repair.

Originally named Chrysalis, this balm was inspired by the monarchs who visit Hands Organic's registered Monarch waystation, resting and feeding on the echinacea. The final formula emerged with the same soft green hue as a real chrysalis, a quiet affirmation of its purpose: to restore, protect, and prepare - like the monarch’s chrysalis, a tender shell where transformation begins.

How To Use

Begin by preparing your skin with a warm washcloth and your chosen cleanser. Dispense 2–4 pumps of cleanser into your hands and apply to your face. Wet your hands with warm water and gently massage the cleanser into your skin for 1–2 minutes, focusing on areas with makeup or buildup. This gentle formula won’t sting your eyes like soap can. Next, prepare a hot towel by soaking it in hot water, wringing it to damp, and placing it over your face to steam—pause here and take a deep breath. Gently dab away makeup without pulling at the skin, and lightly pat other areas to remove excess product. Finish with a generous spritz of hydrosol, followed by your favorite moisturizer applied directly onto damp skin to lock in hydration.
